Bright, varied, layered, complex and colourful are a few words which describe the prolific work of Jessica Spalding.
Please contact Jessica via her Instagram or Facebook accounts to make arrangements to see current pieces available or to talk further regarding a commission.
Jessica has been a compulsive maker, creator, designer and collector for as long as her mother can remember. You’ll often find a piece from her vast collection of “things” appearing in her artwork… from threads and stickers to buttons and coins.
Jess is an artist in the true sense of the word and spends most days of the week in her studio creating.
She is an extremely driven artist, taking on big, beautiful commission works, and creating colourful, surprising and endlessly varied works. In particular she is known for her large format paintings where she is often completing private or public commissions or decorative murals.
Moving into new fields, taking a new direction, and integrating new materials and techniques is a constant motivator for Jessica and what most people don’t know is that she also makes jewellery and sculptures.
In recent years, Jessica has developed a unique perspective that she calls ‘aerial impressionism’. Creating a beautiful, complex view of a fascinating world, ranging from microscopic to grand vistas of the Australian landscape and beyond.
For more than 10 years Jessica has been a sought-after and widely collected artist, in Australia and internationally. She was also the Artist-in-Residence for Jimmy Possum Stores for many years.
